Rule Changes:

As decided at the ORCA EGM in 2012 the Membership fees will be as follows. Membership fees are to be paid in full no later then Club Rd1 or National Rd1.

  • Full Member:- €40
  • Under 18's:- €20
  • Non Members:- €10

Finances:

All members present were given by Dennis Fox a copy of the year ending 2012 accounts to date. There were a number of issues with outstanding balances owed to club and these will be chased up by committee.

It was also decided by all, that if money is requested by any member above €200, then all members must have a meeting to be informed of the decision before cheques are issued. Anything under €200 E.g. for (paint or petrol) must have a valid reciept handed to a member of committee and will then be refunded either on the day or ASAP.

A.O.B:

  1. Pre-registration or National and Club Rounds:-  To make a return for 2013 to help race day collections and entrys to club's timing system. It has been decided that €10 is the price for online registration, €15 race day fee for arriving without pre-registration and €20 for non registered club members on the day. The pre-registration will commence on the Monday of a race week and cut off point will be the Friday of that week. This has been discussed and passed by all present at AGM.

  2. Maintenance:- On maintenance days before start of season new netting needs to be sourced and all posts found and netting systems re done, this is just for public safety and to ensure no accidents can happen. Safety for spectators is key so we will follow through on this.

  3. Timing Bunker:- To be cleaned out and dried out as it is wet damp and full of rubbish. It is not pleasant for someone to sit in it all day when we can clean it up dry it out and give it a lick of paint. Also the bunker door where ladder is needs to be looked at and Jonathan Kenny and Michael Byrne will have a look at this and if we cannot fix Colm Gaffney has agreed to contact Mick Harford of the Dublin City Council Parks Department to see if they can help. Also for the doors to be sealed with expandable foam to stop moisture and water getting in.

  4. Keys:- It has been decided that a set of keys will be made available to all committee and a spare set of keys given to Kevin Mulligan as he is closest to track if a member of committee is unavailable to attend track for what ever reason. Other than this we would ask all members to hand back sets of keys that might be out there or if you know someone has a set please inform us and we will contact them to collect them. This stops multiple people having keys and equipment going missing or lost or bunkers left open etc.

  5. Trees:- Committee to contact Parks Department to ask if tree branchs to be cut where cars drive into park as they have become over grown.

  6. Insurance:- To let all members at start of season know that once your club membership is paid that this covers your insurance to race at r/c tracks North and South of Ireland so there is no need to join a Northern Club once you are afiliated to a club that has insurance.

  7. Medals:- Stock of medals to be used for all rounds and replenished before or during a race season.end of year over all trophy to be purchased and to be retained for a year by national champion and to be passed on at the next agm for both categories. Winner will take full responsibility for it and will be subject to cost if lost or damaged. We will be awarding trophys to the 2012 season top 3 winners from both classes at the first round of the season 2013.

  8. Website and Social Media:- It was discussed at length that the website needs to be freshened up to look inviting for new members to look at and to inform people of how to start up in the sport with pictures and easy access to site. It was also discussed and passed that full access be given to a second committee member to help out the PRO. as if there is important info needed to be put up on homepage that more than one person has access. It was agreed by all members present that Jonathan Kenny be given this access ASAP in case such arises. Also a full race report of all rounds with pictures to be mailed to PRO to be updated. There was suggestions to try and design site like RCCAOI for different sections and each update to be logged in it. To use forum for the posts relating to AGMs, EGMs, and other stuff that non members do not need to see on the main page unless they are members.this point is not to knock the work that is been done but to assist in the proceses and to help each other.

  9. Motor Shows:- Suggestions came in from a few members to try and look into getting a slot in a couple of motor shows, even if it is just a static stand with clean cars from all scales 1/10th nitro, 1/10th electric, 1/8th nitro, 1/5th gas, moto electric, mini`s, all on-road categories to show case to public and to try gain members. Also to hand out flyers to promote club committee to look into this.
